Ukrainian Defense Forces Celebrate One-Year Anniversary of Kherson Region Liberation

Around one year ago, the Ukrainian Defense Forces achieved a significant victory by liberating the Kherson region on the western side of the Dnieper River.

Their primary goal was to hinder the enemy forces physically, yet unfortunately, the enemy managed to evade capture.

Despite this setback, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully regained control of the territory. However, a substantial portion of Putin’s troops remained operational.

Our military leadership is concentrating on three key objectives in the southern region. These include directly eliminating enemy forces, establishing a pathway to the sea, cutting off land access to Crimea, and ensuring our armed forces’ combat readiness.

This multi-pronged approach addresses potential new advances by Russian troops during the upcoming winter and spring seasons. Additionally, it bolsters our diplomatic standing significantly.

Critically, Western analysts’ assessment of our counteroffensive’s success based solely on liberated kilometers contains a considerable misconception.

Individuals carry out defense operations, not merely by physical land with trenches and bunkers.

In the southern region, our efforts focus on neutralizing the occupying forces actively engaged in defense.

The adversary in the southern region is allocating resources toward counterattacks, yet these reserves are rapidly dwindling.

The task at hand is undeniably demanding for our defense forces in the South, but they are systematically executing their mission.

Our military command is notably superior to that of Putin, which explains our success in outmaneuvering the enemy at an operational level near Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson. These strategic moves reflect a profound understanding of the situation.

General Zaluzhny’s resolute declaration, “I will enter Crimea, and no one will stop me,” underscores our efforts’ determination.
