Volodymyr Zelenskyy visits the United Kingdom.

  • British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak welcomed Zelenskyy on social media with a photo of the two politicians embracing at the Chequers country residence.
  • Sunak also compared Zelensky to Churchill, stating that his speeches inspired in the same way as the “courage and resilience” of Zelenskyy and Ukraine, which are “an inspiration to all of us.
  • Today, Sunak will announce increased military assistance to Ukraine, including hundreds of air defense missiles and new long-range strike drones with a range of over 200 km. Previously, the United Kingdom confirmed the delivery of precision long-range missiles, Storm Shadow, to Ukraine.
  • Storm Shadow is a long-range cruise missile with stealth capabilities, jointly developed by the United Kingdom and France, typically launched from the air. With a range of over 250 km, or 155 miles, it is slightly shorter than the ATACMS that Ukraine has long requested.
  • The Storm Shadow missile has enough range to strike deep into the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine. The United Kingdom has received assurances from the Ukrainian government that these missiles will be used solely on Ukrainian sovereign territory, not on Russian territory.
  • In the summer, the country will start training Ukrainian military pilots to operate various aircraft types. The British government also announced its support for supplying F-16 aircraft to Ukraine.

Germany is preparing its largest shipment of military equipment to Ukraine.

The country’s authorities have prepared a new package of military aid worth approximately 2.7 billion euros, making it the largest shipment since the beginning of the military conflict.

Germany plans to deliver 20 infantry fighting vehicles, Marder, 30 Leopard1 tanks, 15 Gepard anti-aircraft tanks, 200 reconnaissance drones, four different Iris-T anti-aircraft systems (pictured), ammunition, and over 200 transport vehicles.
According to Der Spiegel, the announcement of the new aid package is expected to be made official on Sunday, and it will be referred to as a “symbol of Germany’s solidarity with Ukraine.” This will coincide with the presentation of the International Charlemagne Prize (awarded for contributions to European unity) to Volodymyr Zelensky. The President of Ukraine may attend the award ceremony in Germany.

From Battle to Victory: The Exciting Journey in Warfare

The foundation lies in long-term determination in both high politics and large-scale warfare. Those who can plan beyond their opponents and gradually implement their strategy inevitably impose their own game upon them.
After nine and a half months of relentless assaults on Bakhmut, the enemy suffered over 150,000 casualties in killed and wounded personnel, yet they could not fully capture the city.

Thus ended the “dreadful Russian offensive.” Now the situation is shifting in the opposite direction. The defensive forces are beginning to regain the initiative. Recently, misfortune has befallen the enemy in various locations, striking deep and unexpectedly.

Military planning from our side is executed at the highest level. The task of the army command is to unsettle the enemy along the entire front, deprive them of the ability to effectively respond to attacks, and break their will to resist.
And then the most exciting part will begin. However, winning a battle or war is only half the task. The goal of the military and political leadership of the country is to win the war and achieve a post-war peace that is better than the pre-war state.

That is why President Zelenskyy is undertaking a European tour during this challenging period for Ukraine. The stakes are high, but the Ukrainian leadership is acting decisively and systematically.

We are living in historic times.
