Russia is removing old Soviet T-54 tanks from preservation, according to the Conflict Intelligence Team.

Tanks created under Stalin are removed from storage and transported by trains from the Far East. Soon they will go to war in Ukraine.

The T-54 tank is a Soviet-era main battle tank that was first introduced in 1947. It was one of the most widely produced tanks in history, with an estimated 86,000 units built in various countries. The tank was designed to replace the earlier T-34 tank and was intended to provide the Soviet Army with a more advanced and capable tank.

The T-54 had several significant improvements over its predecessor, including a more powerful engine, thicker armor, and a larger gun. The tank was armed with a 100mm main gun and was also equipped with a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun and a 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun. It had a crew of four and weighed around 36 tons.

The T-54 saw extensive use in various conflicts around the world, including the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and the Arab-Israeli conflicts. It was also used by many countries outside of the Soviet Union, including China, North Korea, Egypt, and Syria. The tank was eventually replaced by the more advanced T-55 and T-62 tanks, but it remains an important symbol of Soviet military power during the Cold War era.
