Have you ever wondered what is truly happening in Russia?
Welcome to Episode 2 of ” What is Happening in Russia“. This blog post will explore the latest Russian news and provide an insightful overview of the events in this country. The question of “what is happening in Russia” often arises, so we will make a few episodes with news from there.
1. In the Chelyabinsk region, a maniac held and raped a kidnapped girl for 14 years in a basement.
The girl managed to escape last Sunday after the maniac’s mental illness worsened, and he was taken to the hospital.
The kidnapping victim was held in the basement since 2009 and subjected to physical and sexual violence systematically. She was 19 years old at the time of her abduction.
During the inspection of the criminal’s house in the village of Smolino, the remains of a woman were found, whom the maniac presumably killed in 2010-2011. The criminal’s mother knew everything but covered it up. In the picture below is the suspect.
2. A history teacher from the Voronezh region was arrested after attempting to set fire to the military enlistment office at the request of “Central Bank employees.”
On the evening of July 31 in Rossosh, 24-year-old Olga P., who works as a history teacher in the village of Bolshiye Bazy, attempted to set fire to the district military enlistment office located 25 kilometers away from her home. The fire was extinguished, and the woman was detained by a local police officer who was on duty nearby.
After her arrest, the woman revealed that on Wednesday, July 26, she received a call from the “Central Bank” stating an attempt to withdraw money from her account. Subsequently, she received further calls, purportedly from law enforcement, informing her that a fraudster was inside the military enlistment office building, and it needed to be set on fire to catch him. The matter of opening a case is under consideration.
3. The Federal Tax Service (ФНС) has prohibited its employees from using Apple products.
According to our data, the corresponding order has already been sent from the central office to all regional service departments. Employees were specifically forbidden to use any Apple devices and were asked to specify the brands of the phones they used. The officials did not explain the consequences of continuing to use Apple.
Earlier, the ban on the IT company’s devices was introduced in the Ministries of Culture, Education, Industry and Trade, and Transportation. This decision is related to the statement by the Federal Security Service (ФСБ) that American intelligence agencies use Apple for tracking users.
4. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (МИД России) in connection with Ukrainian attacks on Moscow and Crimea:
According to the statement from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, early in the morning, there were attempts to attack objects in Moscow using two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles. All of them were suppressed by means of electronic warfare and crashed. There were no casualties or serious damage. Two non-residential buildings were damaged.
On July 24, a helicopter-type drone without an explosive device crashed on the territory of the central cemetery in the Zelenogradsk district of Moscow.
During the night, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to attack objects in Crimea with 17 drones was also foiled. 14 drones were suppressed by electronic warfare, 11 of them crashed into the Black Sea, and three fell on the territory of the peninsula. Three drones were destroyed by air defense forces. There were no casualties. According to the head of the Republic of Crimea, S.V. Aksyonov, there was a hit on an ammunition depot in the Dzhankoy district. Fragments of the UAV damaged a private house in the Kirovsky district.
Ukraine has already taken responsibility for these attacks. The head of the country’s Ministry of Digital Transformation, M. Fedorov, publicly confirmed the involvement of Zelensky‘s regime and stated that Kyiv would continue such actions, and their number would grow.
We consider this incident as another use of terrorist methods by the military and political leadership of Ukraine aimed at intimidating the civilian population. These attacks had no military purpose. We strongly condemn this new crime of the Kyiv regime. We call on international organizations to give it a proper assessment.
The audacious actions of Ukrainian neo-Nazis are driven by the West’s intention to further escalate the situation.
The Investigative Committee of Russia has initiated criminal cases based on the mentioned facts. All those responsible will be found and punished.
The Russian side reserves the right to take tough retaliatory measures.
5. Ukraine hit Moscow with drones (Center of Moscow):
Clearly, this is what the Russians are aiming for. Attempting to stage a bloody show in the center of Moscow, reminiscent of 9/11, is their unique modus operandi.
Counting on us to be terrified, trembling, and backing down is a wrong calculation. When we are horrified, we step on the gas, paying no heed to road markings, traffic rules, traffic lights, speed bumps, or stationary police officers.
Sobyanin, with his instant nightly responses to obvious questions such as the number of casualties and extent of damage, keeps the spirit of the capital city in check, preventing mass hysteria. But even a person like Sobyanin, who has taken on far more than his official responsibilities, cannot be held accountable for everyone and everything.
Yet, questions remain.
-
Question #1:
How do these drones even manage to reach us? The military tried to explain to me why our air defense and other systems allow them through. I might be a silly woman who knows nothing about football, but the essence of their explanations is that the systems are designed for more significant threats like missiles and planes, while these small drones are allowed through, just like birds. Otherwise, air defense systems around the world would be constantly going after birds.
-
Hence, question #2:
What prevents the creation of a different, more modern system? Is it due to objective technical impossibility, implying that the work is already underway and everything will soon be done? Or is it the sluggishness of those responsible for such matters?
-
Question #3:
What is truly happening, and what should we expect? We have all witnessed the powerful destruction of ports, airfields, and other storage locations of this nuisance in recent days. We see it and believe it. We want to continue believing it. That’s precisely why a drone hitting the same tower twice in a row, which houses at least three federal ministries, demands an explanation, given that electronic warfare supposedly brought them all down.
Tell us the truth as it is. We won’t tremble, and we won’t back down under any circumstances. We are all in the same boat. And it’s a submarine, to boot.
6. Saudi Arabia intends to host a “peaceful summit” on Ukraine, organized at the initiative of Kyiv.
For the Americans, this is one of the options to get out of the situation. By their naivety, they hoped that Ukraine could organize some sort of offensive. And based on this offensive, they could once again consolidate Western support and strengthen it. They would then pressure Russia under the principle of “Let’s negotiate on our – American terms.” It is clear that the offensive would continue in the same vein as it has been until now. Fruitless attacks on the defensive line would persist, but it won’t be a real offensive.
This is a form of defense for Zelensky himself. In order to prevent the Russian army from advancing, he needs to constantly launch attacks against them. For this purpose, people are caught in the rear and sent to slaughter as long as there are people to catch. Sooner or later, these people will run out. We have heard this many times from the same Americans – according to their calculations, the people should run out in Ukraine by the end of this year. They expect that the endurance will allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to hold out somewhere until autumn-winter.
In conclusion, the current news coming out of Russia is nothing short of a horror. From accusations of election interference to human rights violations, Russia’s actions have garnered global attention and concern. It is crucial to stay informed about the situation in Russia, as it has far-reaching implications for both domestic and international affairs.
